Maximum Edge Flowcharts

What is Maximum Edge, why would you use it and What do you stand to gain?

Maximum Edge is a strategy to capture organic (free) traffic for non-competitive keywords (less than 50,000 pages in Google for a phrase match search of a keyword) by hosting keyword optimized content on Web 2.0 authority domains and by linking to that content from other authority domains with keyword specific anchor text.  By following this strategy, the User provides Google exactly what it wants in relation to optimized content for a specific keyword, the reward being a page 1 and possibly top 3 ranking in the Google SERPS for that keyword.  Top placings mean TRAFFIC and that traffic can be monetized by directing the traffic to an owned product, affiliate, CPA or adsense page setup by the User.

The strategy proceeds through four (4) distinct stages which are described through active flowcharts that can be accessed from the links below.  The first 3 stages can be completed fairly quickly (3 - 5 hours) and the User is recommended to wait until proceeding with Stage 4 until at least 300 - 500 views of the money page and at least 1 sale has occured.  Stage 4 should only commence when the commercial value of the traffic associated with the keyword has been established.

 Stage 1

Stage 1 is arguably the most important stage of the Maximum Edge process because the efficiency with which you can attain top rankings for a keyword and the traffic potential (and ultimately commercial value) is determined at this stage. The goal is to identify non-competitive keywords with significant traffic potential that can be associated with or is directly related to a product that can be sold to users searching for this keyword. The more certain the traffic associated with the keyword has commercial value, the better the result.

 Stage 2

Stage 2 - Once an umbrella keyword phrase and the long tail (tag) keywords have been identifed, copy (suitably keyword optimized) can be created and hosted on a Web 2.0 authority domain.  This is the content that will ultimately rank high for the umbrella keyword phrase (and the tag keywords) in the search engines.  The user will place re-direct links within the copy to direct traffic to a 'money page' which will likely be created by the user and from which sales will take place.

 Stage 3

Stage 3 - After the optimized content has been hosted on a Web 2.0 domain, Social bookmarking and targeted links from high page rank domains are completed for the purpose of causing Google to index the hosted content.  The combination of the authority of the hosted domain, the authority of the links and the relatively non-competitive nature of the umbrella keyword means that early ranking is likely to be high (1st page and often in the top 3 - 5 for the keyword).

 Stage 4

Stage 4  - Classical off-page Search Engine Optimization or SEO should only be conducted after the User has proved the commercial value of the keyword.  The User will then over time create a platform of backlinks (with keyword specific anchor text) with varying authority to ultimately elevate the hosted content into a Top 3 position (preferably #1) in the search engines for the main keyword and maintain that ranking over time.  The User is recommended to employ a variety of back link generating strategies to reduce rank dependency on just a few sources of backlinks.

This strategy has been used succesfully to capture traffic for a range of non-competitive keywords (in terms of pages optimized for the keyword phrase) but where significant traffic is associated with the keyword phrase.  The value of the traffic is uncertain but where the traffic can be directed to a sales page that has a strong association with the umbrella phrase and where the sales copy is compelling then sales will result.

The end result is highly dependant on the quality of the market and keyword research undertaken in Stage 1.  The more certain that the user is of the commercial value of the traffic associated with the keyword phrase then the more likely that the traffic will generate sales.
